Jason Paik is the editor of LaunchSpecs. He sets the site’s editorial rules, oversees the research and verification system every article passes through, and handles corrections.
What the editor actually does here
LaunchSpecs is honest about how it works: drafts are produced with AI writing tools, then pushed through layered fact-checking and seven independent reviews before anything is published. Jason’s role is the human layer around that system — he:
- decides what the site covers and what it refuses to cover,
- writes and maintains the editorial rules the automated reviewers enforce (no fabricated testing, no disguised marketing claims, label manufacturer figures as manufacturer figures),
- reviews articles that the verification system flags instead of letting them auto-publish, and
- investigates every reader correction and updates articles with a note when we got something wrong.

Editorial philosophy
Product launches are covered louder than they are covered clearly. The position of this site is simple: put the published numbers side by side, cite where each number came from, and let the table do the arguing. When data is a manufacturer’s claim, it is labeled as one. When a figure can’t be verified, it is removed or flagged — not smoothed over.
